Most employees would like a company that pay well, others would like a company just because they love the job. It is however so obvious that all employees would enjoy working in a company that develops them as individuals.

General Motors EA has shown us just one of the main ways. The company organized a competition dubbed Fundi Of The Year Awards which culminated with the awarding of Sebastian Mwololo and James Michuki as the overall best motor vehicle technicians.

The three month competition showcased best practices in theory and practical tests; and also it aimed building the capacity of service technicians to better meet the diverse needs of vehicle owners.

General Motors East Africa will then sponsor the two winners to take part in the Technical Competition (1-1 Grand Prix) in Tokyo, Japan in November this year.
